Elk River Golf Courses - Elk River Country Club - Pinewood Golf Course

Elk River offers golf at two high quality Golf Courses.  Pinewood Golf Course is a nine hole course with three par 4 holes.  All holes are longer than typical par 3 golf courses in the Twin Cities.  The Elk River Country Club is a regulation 18 hole golf course which offers memberships and is open to the public.

Located just up Hwy 10 in Elk River this 9 hole golf course is owned by former Minnesota Viking Paul Kause.  This public golf course offers a basic driving range and a very affordable 9 hold golf course.  Motorized carts are aviailable and a quality clubhouse serves basic food and beverages.  What makes Pinewood a great course is that the holes are longer than holes you would see at 9 hole golf courses in the Twin Cities.  You can easily hit your driver off three of the par 4 holes.  For the low price of a single round or a season membership you can't beat this place.  In the late fall they simply close the clubhouse and go on the honor system.  You put your money in a mailbox and play your round.

The Elk River Country Club is located up HWY 1 which is the Proctor Road turn off from HWY 10 in Elk River.  This is a public golf course but privately owned like Pinewood, the public is welcome but the club does offer memberships.  The Elk River Country Club holds members only tournements, offers lessons and has a complete pro shop and club house serving food and beverages.  A nice driving range and pitch and putt area area available for practice.
