Elk River is fortunate to have many entertainment options.  You usually do not have to leave the city to have a great time.  Even surrounding cities such as Zimmerman and Otsego offer additional entertainment ideas so you will always have something do to do.  Things to do range from a modern movie theater to numerous sports bars and golf courses.  We even host the Sherburne County Fair and numerous other events at the Sherburne County Fairgrounds.

Movie Theater - Marcus Theaters - 570 Freeport Ave - Elk River

The Marcus Theater in Elk River was completely renovated about three years back.  Showing up to 16 films with the latest in stadium seating and fantastic sound.  Prices run from $5.25 before 5:30pm to $7.25 after 5:30pm (763) 441-1234

Public Beach - Orono Park - Lake Orono - Elk River

Elk River offers a public beach and park on Lake Orono just off Hwy 10 next to the Sherburne County Fairgrounds.  Parking is available and the swimming beach has plenty of sand to accomodate many visitors.  On the 4th of July Lake Orono is host to a fantastic fireworks display.

Elk River Bowl is located just off Hwy 10 across from the Lake Orono public beach.  Besides bowling you can fine a complete bar and restaurant as well as live WWE PPV Wrestling events.
